MAAG Group Acquisition of SIKORA AG Strengthens Global Market Presence
Swiss-based MAAG Group, a global leader in integrated polymer processing solutions and part of Dover Corporation, has announced the MAAG Group acquisition of SIKORA AG, a Germany-based innovator in measuring, inspection, and sorting technologies for the wire, cable, and plastics sectors. This strategic partnership unites two technology powerhouses, enhancing both companies’ capabilities and global reach.
According to the official press release, the collaboration provides SIKORA with a “strong strategic partner for the future,” reinforcing the company’s ongoing commitment to innovation, customer satisfaction, and sustainable development.
SIKORA’s Legacy of Innovation
SIKORA AG, founded in 1973 by Harald Sikora in Bremen, Germany, has built a global reputation for technological innovation and customized customer solutions. The company employs around 450 people across its Bremen headquarters and 13 international subsidiaries. Under the MAAG Group, SIKORA plans to continue its mission to develop modern, customer-focused measurement and control systems for industrial use.
Shared Vision and Core Values
Harald Sikora emphasized that MAAG and SIKORA share more than just strategic objectives. Both companies value innovation, sustainability, entrepreneurial spirit, and long-term success. “With MAAG, we have found the ideal partner to continue our growth story,” said Sikora, who will remain actively involved in an advisory role.
Expanding Capabilities and Market Opportunities
According to MAAG Group President Ueli Thuerig, SIKORA’s technologies align strongly with MAAG’s existing customer base and product lines. He noted that the combination creates “significant cross-selling potential” and stronger integration with equipment manufacturing partners and end users.
Both companies have strong operations in the DACH region (Germany, Austria, and Switzerland) and well-established international networks. This geographic and technical complementarity offers both organizations the chance to deliver broader solutions, improved global support, and greater value to customers worldwide.
Continuity and a Promising Future
SIKORA’s management board will continue to lead operations, ensuring consistency in customer partnerships and company culture. CEO Dr. Christian Frank expressed optimism about the company’s future in collaboration with MAAG: “This partnership sends a powerful signal—for SIKORA, our employees, and the Bremen location. Together with MAAG, we can leverage our strengths, pursue new opportunities, and continue our success story.”
