Guill Labs extrusion testing and tooling optimization now sit at the center of Guill Tool’s expanded in-house laboratory initiative, Guill Labs. The upgraded facilities help the company better support extrusion projects for wire, cable, and other industrial applications.

The new rheology lab measures how plastics and rubber flow during extrusion. Engineers then use this data to adjust tooling geometry before production, improving quality and reducing trial-and-error.

Guill Labs includes a rotational rheometer, scanning calorimeter, and thermal conductivity meter to simulate extrusion conditions with precision. A separate test extrusion area features extruders, vacuum tanks, and laser gauges, allowing full-process testing and validation.
