Nexans Advances Electrification Strategy with Acquisition of La Triveneta Cavi

Nexans has finalized the acquisition of La Triveneta Cavi (LTC), a top Italian cable manufacturer. This strategic move strengthens Nexans’ position in the European low- and medium-voltage market and supports its shift toward becoming a global electrification pure player.

Expanding Nexans’ European Cable Expertise

Founded in 1965La Triveneta Cavi employs around 700 people and generates over €800 million in annual revenue. The company delivers cables for buildingsinfrastructurerenewable energy, and fire-retardant systems across 30 countries.

LTC operates three production sites in Brendola and Tolentino, along with a copper drawing facility in Montecchio Maggiore. This vertically integrated model allows for efficient manufacturing, quick delivery, and strong quality control.

Through this acquisition, the company expands its building cable portfolio and gains industry-leading expertise in fire-retardant technologies. This segment continues to grow rapidly, with demand projected to climb 13% per year through 2030.

Furthermore, the deal adds a skilled management team and advanced manufacturing capabilities. As a result, Nexans will accelerate the development of sustainable, high-performance cable solutions for global customers.

Building on Italy’s Industrial Excellence

Christopher Guérin, CEO of Nexans, said the deal reflects Italy’s strong engineering base and manufacturing excellence. “This acquisition marks an important milestone,” he said. “It brings new investment, skilled jobs, and innovation to Italy’s Veneto region while advancing our global electrification mission.”

He noted that collaboration with LTC will create a “Made in Italy” innovation hub, combining Nexans’ resources with Italy’s legacy of design and technical expertise.

Mariano Peripolli, CEO of La Triveneta Cavi, said the partnership is a perfect fit. “Combining LTC’s entrepreneurial spirit with Nexans’ global scale allows us to accelerate innovation and expand our fire safety technologies,” Peripolli explained. “Together, we can enhance performance, strengthen sustainability, and deliver real impact.”

Meanwhile, the new alliance will integrate LTC’s fire-retardant technology across Nexans’ global operations, improving energy safety and supporting Europe’s transition toward a more electrified and low-carbon future.
