Belden Chakan Plant Expansion Accelerates Global Growth

The Belden Chakan Plant Expansion will add 19,000 square meters to the existing facility, representing an investment of roughly $40 million. This expansion will significantly increase production capacity and help Belden meet rising global demand for network and data infrastructure solutions.

Furthermore, the expanded site will serve as a central hub for high-quality products used in global industrial and communication networks. With this investment, Belden continues to strengthen its position in both domestic and international markets.

Enhancing Innovation and Manufacturing Capability

The new phase of the Chakan facility will produce state-of-the-art Ethernet switches, firewalls, connectivity assemblies, and patch cords tailored to industrial and building automation needs. These enhancements will enable Belden to deliver more advanced, high-performance products and expand its global impact in industrial connectivity.

Meanwhile, the company continues to focus on innovation, quality, and sustainability, aligning with the increasing demand for smarter automation systems across diverse industries.

Supporting “Made in India for the World”

“In India, where industrial, broadcast, and enterprise markets are experiencing exceptional growth, the Belden Chakan Plant Expansion allows us to address this opportunity directly,” said Dr. Ashish Chand, President and CEO of Belden. “We are committed to sourcing materials locally, which supports our vision of ‘Made in India for the World.’ This expansion strengthens our domestic foundation while establishing Chakan as a global export hub.”

As a result, Belden reaffirms its long-term commitment to building manufacturing strength in India while contributing to the nation’s role in global technology innovation.
