Madem-Moorecraft Opens New Denton Facility

Madem-Moorecraft Reels USA has officially opened its second U.S. manufacturing plant in Denton, Texas, marking a major milestone in the company’s continued growth. The grand opening brought together elected officials, customers, suppliers, and shareholders to celebrate this expansion.

Increased Capacity and Job Growth

The Denton facility’s first phase boosts Madem-Moorecraft’s total production capacity by 50%, reaching about 150 truckloads of kits per month. By next year, phase two of the project will add another 50% capacity increase, solidifying the plant’s role in meeting the growing demand across North America.

The company is investing more than $14 million in the expansion and creating over 100 new jobs. With this increased output, Madem-Moorecraft now supplies wood and plywood reels to 42 cable manufacturing plants throughout the United States.

Innovation and Engineering Excellence

According to company president Marcos Conde Ramalho, the Denton site represents Madem-Moorecraft’s most advanced industrial engineering project to date. “This manufacturing system uses top-tier machinery and innovation,” he said. “It brings pride to both the Madem-Moorecraft team and the global Madem Group. The facility was designed to deliver unmatched quality and service to North American cable manufacturers.”

Josh McCoy, general manager of Madem-Moorecraft Reels USA, praised the teamwork behind the new facility’s success. “The Denton team is thrilled about the future of this plant,” he said. “We couldn’t have achieved this without the dedication of our Tarboro, North Carolina team and the ongoing support of our Madem Group colleagues in Brazil.”

Stephen J. Redhage, vice president and general manager, emphasized that this expansion strengthens the company’s core operations. “Expanding our assembly and distribution network is key to our growth strategy,” he said. “Having two U.S. manufacturing plants gives us the foundation to serve our customers faster and more efficiently.”
