The WCMA Hosts Annual Meeting in Hartford, Connecticut

Hartford, Connecticut – December 4, 2025 — The Wire & Cable Manufacturers Alliance (WCMA) hosted its annual meeting at the Downtown Hartford Marriott. The event brought together about 120 members and guests for a day filled with business updates, networking, and industry recognition.

Economist Robert Fry Highlights 2026 Outlook

Economist Robert Fry of Robert Fry Economics delivered the keynote address, sharing his insights on the economic and supply chain outlook for 2026. His presentation sparked engaging discussions about upcoming challenges and opportunities in the wire and cable industry.

WCMA thanked several companies for sponsoring the keynote session, including Fisk AlloyGem GravureInternational Wire, and James Monroe Wire & Cable. Additional recognition went to Marmon IEIPrime Materials RecoveryService Wire, and Sikora International for their continued support.

WCMA Strengthens Charitable and Scholarship Support

During the event, Executive Director Ed Fenton praised members for their strong turnout and generosity. Their contributions help fund WCMA’s annual charitable and scholarship efforts.

In 2026, WCMA will donate to UCONN Cancer Research and Toys for Tots. The organization will also support scholarship programs through the Wire Association InternationalThe Copper Club, and IWCS. These initiatives aim to inspire the next generation of industry professionals.

Young Professionals Focus on Operational Excellence

The meeting also featured a Young Professional Panel titled “Operational Excellence – Running Companies on All Cylinders.” Approximately 40 members attended the discussion, moderated by Trish Weisberg of Service Wire Co.

Matt Caldwell of Service Wire Co. received the 3rd Annual WCMA Young Professionals Award for his outstanding contributions. WCMA also honored Trish Weisberg for leading the Young Professional Steering Committee and thanked Shane Berry of Service Wire for his service as WCMA President.
