Nexans has acquired Electro Cables Inc., a Canadian manufacturer known for low-voltage cable systems and service-driven solutions. Nexans announced the deal in a press release.
Nexans said the acquisition strengthens its PWR-Connect business in Canada and expands its ability to serve fast-growing markets. The company also said the move supports its mission to “electrify the future” in a way that remains safe, sustainable, and connected.
Founded in 1985, Electro Cables operates as a family-owned business. The company is headquartered in Trenton, Ontario, where it runs two manufacturing facilities. Together, those plants employ about 200 people. Electro Cables produces low-voltage electrical and electronic cable products for customers in Canada and international markets.
“The acquisition of Electro Cables brings complementary expertise and a strong reputation for quality in low-voltage solutions in Canada,” said Julien Hueber, CEO of Nexans. “Their positioning perfectly aligns with Nexans’ strategy and complements Nexans’ offer in a dynamic market.”
