Educational Advancements at Interwire 2025

“The education program at Interwire has always been a cornerstone of the event,” said John Markowski, WAI’s Education Project Manager. “This year, we’re building on that legacy with a new hands‑on workshop and a modern conference experience.”

The highlight of the program is WAI’s Advanced Extrusion Workshop, which takes place on Wednesday, May 14, at Southwire’s new training facility. Limited to 50 participants, this interactive session dives deep into extrusion processes with guidance from Rick Chamberlain (retired, Prysmian) and an expert from Southwire. Participants will also engage with top extrusion exhibitors on the trade show floor, applying what they’ve learned directly to their business needs.

Modern Enhancements for the Interwire Experience

Attendees will also notice fresh changes designed to make Interwire 2025 more engaging and efficient. “We’re adding a ‘Voice of God’ announcer for key transitions, walk‑up music for speakers, and virtual prep sessions before the conference,” Markowski said. “These enhancements will create a lively, seamless experience for both presenters and guests.”

Expanding Knowledge Through the Global Continuous Casting Forum 2025

Running alongside Interwire, the Global Continuous Casting Forum (GCCF) will feature over 30 technical sessionstwo expert panels, and a facility tour. Delegates can also build professional connections at networking events, including the opening receptionawards dinner, and daily luncheons.

Both Interwire and GCCF showcase state‑of‑the‑art manufacturing processes, industry advancements, and opportunities for technical collaboration—all essential for staying informed and competitive in the wire and cable industry.

Fundamentals Course Kicks Off Educational Programming

Before Interwire 2025 officially begins, attendees can join the Fundamentals of Wire Manufacturing Course, a full‑day session that continues to serve as a foundational learning experience. While the core topics stay consistent, WAI continues to refine the course to keep it fresh, relevant, and aligned with evolving technologies.
