HELUKABEL Expands Manufacturing Footprint in India

HELUKABEL has opened a new production facility in India to manufacture control cables and single conductors. The new site marks a major step in the company’s strategy to strengthen its presence in one of the world’s fastest-growing industrial markets.

The factory, operated by HELUKABEL India, is located near Gandhinagar in western India. It complements existing logistics and sales operations in Mumbai and Pune, giving the company greater reach across the subcontinent.

Meeting the Needs of a Rapidly Growing Market

According to HELUKABEL Group Managing Director Marc Luksch, India’s ongoing industrial boom creates strong demand for high-quality cable products.

“India, the most populous country on earth, is experiencing a technological and economic boom,” Luksch said. “This new facility allows us to serve our customers more quickly, comprehensively, and flexibly.”

The new production hub strengthens HELUKABEL’s ability to deliver tailored cable solutions for automation, manufacturing, and infrastructure projects nationwide.

Producing Cable to Local and International Standards

The plant employs around 30 skilled professionals who produce cables using conductor stranding classes 1–5, both with and without braided shielding and steel wire armoring.

Many of the cables follow the Indian BIS standard, which ensures compliance for products installed in locally built machinery and equipment. In time, the facility will also manufacture cables certified to the German VDE standard, allowing HELUKABEL to serve both domestic and global customers.

With this expansion, HELUKABEL positions itself strongly within India’s fast-growing market, offering locally made products that meet international quality expectations.
