Madem Reels Group Earns Dual Sustainability Awards

Prysmian Group and Nexans Group both honored Madem Reels Group in June for its global environmental initiatives. The Brazilian-based wood reel manufacturer received top sustainability recognition from two of the world’s largest wire and cable producers.

Madem Reels recently achieved CO2 Neutral Certification, which it identifies as a first for a wood reel manufacturer. The company uses FSC- or PEFC-certified renewable pine wood in all reels and operates under a robust environmental management system (EMS) aligned with ISO 14000. Global Team and Certified Supply Chain Expansion

Mazzoccato credited the company’s success to its global workforce. He extended special thanks to 1,000 employees working in manufacturing plants, distribution warehouses, and recycling centers, noting their key role in achieving these environmental milestones.

Madem Reels Group also expanded PEFC green certifications to its Madem-Moorecraft USA operations in North Carolina and Texas. These locations now join existing certified sites in Brazil, Bahrain, and Spain. This network supports a full chain-of-custody system that tracks certified forest products from source to final customer.

Today, Madem Reels Group operates manufacturing plants in Brazil, Colombia, Mexico, the U.S., Spain, and Bahrain. The company supplies more than 200 cable manufacturers in 45 countries, reinforcing its role as a global leader in sustainable wood reel solutions.
