Oman Cables Industry SAOG, based in Al Rusayl Industrial City in Muscat, plans a major Oman Cables OAPIL Suhar investment to build a new production facility in Suhar, Oman’s industrial capital. This move strengthens the group’s position in advanced power transmission solutions.
Oman Cables will fund OAPIL’s new Suhar facility to manufacture advanced composite core conductors, which support high‑performance overhead transmission lines and grid upgrades. Board Chairperson Cinzia Farise notes that the project broadens OAPIL’s operational scope while also boosting profitability and business diversification for Oman Cables.
Founded in 2008, OAPIL already plays a key role in Oman’s aluminum and electrical transmission sectors. The Oman Cables OAPIL Suhar investment will add specialized composite core conductor production, enabling OAPIL to serve more complex, higher‑value energy infrastructure projects in Oman and in export markets.
The investment also enhances OAPIL’s presence in international markets, especially in the fast‑growing energy infrastructure segment. As part of the Prysmian Group family through Oman Cables Industry, the company benefits from a strong regional footprint with offices in Oman, UAE, Qatar, Bahrain and KSA, plus an extended MEART network across the Middle East, Africa, Turkey, Russia and India.
