Tele-Fonika Kable (TFKable) has expanded its research and development capabilities with the launch of a new laboratory at its manufacturing plant in Myślenice, Poland, strengthening its ability to support advanced cable systems for demanding applications.

New R&D laboratory commissioned at Myślenice plant

According to a company press release, TFKable commissioned the new R&D Laboratory – Material Compounding and Sealing Integrity in December 2025, following nearly two years of development. The project received support from Kraków Technology Park and represents a significant extension of the site’s existing R&D infrastructure.

The Myślenice laboratory is designed to enhance TFKable’s ability to design, test, and validate advanced material and structural solutions used in high-performance cable systems.

Focus on materials, sealing, and harsh environments

TFKable said the new laboratory will play a critical role in supporting products for offshore wind, heavy industry, and other harsh-environment applications. Core areas of focus include material compounding, sealing integrity, offshore and heavy-duty performance, and advanced quality control of raw materials.

Engineers will also work on proprietary material formulations and cable designs intended for continuous-motion and heavy-duty applications. These efforts aim to improve durability, reliability, and long-term performance in demanding operating conditions.

Strengthening quality control and innovation

In addition to product development, the laboratory will support systematic quality control of incoming raw materials using advanced analytical techniques. This capability will allow TFKable to better monitor material consistency and performance, supporting higher reliability across its cable portfolio.

Part of a broader R&D network

Tele-Fonika Kable operates seven production plants in Poland and Serbia and supplies cable products to customers in more than 80 countries worldwide. The company already maintains a major R&D Center at Kraków Bieżanów, which includes specialized facilities such as an Extra High Voltage Laboratory and an Extra High Speed Laboratory dedicated to advanced cable testing.

The addition of the Myślenice laboratory further strengthens TFKable’s global R&D platform and supports its focus on innovation in energy, industrial, and offshore cable systems.
