TKF Expands Fiber Cable Production in Europe
B.V. Twentsche Kabelfabriek (TKF), part of the TKH Group N.V., officially opened its new fiber optic cable facility on September 6 in Rawicz, Poland. The expansion marks an important step in TKF’s European growth strategy.
The new plant doubles TKF’s fiber production capacity in Europe. This increase allows the company to replace part of its production in China and strengthen its ability to serve European customers with innovative fiber solutions.
Supporting Local Jobs and Connectivity
Located in the Rawicz Industrial Zone, the factory spans 10,000 square meters and will employ more than 75 people once fully operational. Construction began in March 2023, and the site became operational in just 18 months—a strong example of TKF’s efficiency and project execution.
Built for Sustainability and Efficiency
TKF designed the facility with sustainability goals in mind. It uses UV LED curing, energy‑saving LED lighting, and solar panels to reduce emissions and energy costs. These features align with TKF’s commitment to responsible growth and its ESG targets across all operations.
A Milestone for TKF and the Community
“There is a great sense of pride among our team and the community,” said Wim Bank, Telecom Director at TKF. “This expansion increases our capacity, improves how we serve customers, and strengthens our position in the European market.”
The Rawicz site operates alongside E&E Cable Solutions, another TKH Group company. Together, they enhance Europe’s digital connectivity through expanded manufacturing and joint expertise.
Global Growth and Recognition
Founded in 1930, TKF has grown from a cable manufacturer into a technology leader for connectivity and energy infrastructure. In June 2025, the company won a major contract with Ørsted to supply and install nearly 200 km of inter‑array and accessory cables for the 920 MW Greater Changhua 2b and 4 offshore wind farms in Taiwan.
By expanding production in Poland and securing international projects, TKF continues to drive sustainable innovation and global connectivity forward.
