Nexans acquires Electro Cables to expand low-voltage cable manufacturing in Canada

Nexans acquired Electro Cables Inc., a Canadian manufacturer of low-voltage cable systems and service-focused solutions. Founded in 1985, Electro Cables operates two plants in Trenton, Ontario, and employs about 200 people. Nexans said the deal strengthens its PWR-Connect business and supports future electrification.

Granite Falls Composites, formerly Roblon US, says it has gained strong momentum since completing a management buyout in July 2025. Hellenic Cables wins Poland offshore wind export cable contract, joins NEMA

Hellenic Cables won a contract with DEME Offshore to deliver the offshore export cable system for Poland’s 390 MW BC-Wind offshore wind farm. The scope includes 29 km of 275 kV HVAC cable, scheduled for completion in 2027. The company also joined NEMA to support U.S. market growth.
Liberty Networks to deliver El Salvador’s first submarine cable system

Liberty Networks will deliver El Salvador’s first submarine cable system, a 1,800-km project for telecom regulator SIGET. The system is expected to enter service in the second half of 2028 and will strengthen international connectivity, improve internet performance, and support innovation, cloud adoption, and economic growth.
