NE Chapter continues string of successful golf tournaments
The New England Chapter held its 31st annual golf outing at Tunxis Country Club with 143 players on a beautiful day. Lloyd & Bouvier’s team won with 15 under par, while participation and raffles boosted the chapter’s scholarship fund by nearly $4,000, making the event a spirited success.
WAI flag sails at Fort Wayne Wire Die
Fort Wayne Wire Die President Eric Bieberich, serving as WAI’s 2025 president, raised the WAI flag alongside the U.S. flag at company headquarters. The tradition, continued by each president, underscores industry pride and the association’s close ties with its member companies.
WAI staff adds new project manager
Vanessa Lewis has joined the Wire Association International as project manager, overseeing member relations, chapter activities, and project support. A 2024 communications graduate of Purchase College, she will assist with WAI’s AMS transition, chapter events, and the launch of the new wirenet.org.
WAI announces that Points Meeting for Wire Expo has been set for Oct. 2
WAI will hold the Points Meeting for Wire Expo 2026 on Oct. 2 at its Madison, CT, headquarters, launching exhibit space selection for the May 6–7 event in Milwaukee. The system rewards long-time supporters, with strong participation and a sellout at the previous expo.

The Wire Association International will host a two-part webinar series this September, guiding wire producers and tool makers in distinguishing high-quality wire dies from inferior ones.
