LS Cable & System installing what it describes as a world-record HVDC cable
LS Cable & System is deploying the world’s first commercial 500 kV, 90°C HVDC cable for KEPCO’s Donghae–Singhamyeong project. The high-temperature design increases transmission capacity, supports power delivery to the Seoul area, and builds on LS C&S’s extensive submarine and underground HVDC experience in South Korea and international markets.
